The definitive Kentucky and Louisville Basketball Documentary is now available on Amazon Prime!

Never heard of this movie? “Red V. Blue” aired on ESPN Classic and KET (Kentucky Educational Television), and it has screened at theaters across the Commonwealth.

Its popularity is derived from the fact that the movie is two documentaries rolled into one; it’s equal parts a Louisville basketball documentary and a Kentucky basketball documentary.

“The Rivalry: Red V. Blue” features players, coaches, mayors announcers, bloggers and fans from both sides of the divide, including Denny Crum, Joe B. Hall, Peyton Siva, Derek Anderson, Greg Fisher, Jim Gray,  Mike Rutherford and Matt Jones, among others.

Rivalry Week Update: ESPN Classic Premiere

In honor of Rivalry Week, we are happy to announce that Red V. Blue will premiere on ESPN Classic in February 2015!

The ESPN deal has been many moons in the making, and it seems appropriate that we are finally able to share the news over this Thanksgiving weekend. We will announce more details as they become available. In the meantime please enjoy our new trailer below to get amped up for today’s football game and the big basketball game in December!

Indie Rights Distribution for Louisville vs Kentucky Documentary

New Digital Distribution Opportunity for Louisville vs Kentucky Documentary Announced!

It’s been a few months since our last post but we have been hard at work here at RvB headquarters. Now that it is finally college basketball season, we would like to share some good news: “The Rivalry: Red V. Blue,” the first Louisville vs Kentucky documentary, has been picked up by Indie Rights Distribution and will soon be available on iTunes, YouTube Rentals and other digital outlets. The new digital version of the film features 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound as well as never-before-seen historical footage.

We will also be making another big announcement in the coming weeks regarding another distribution opportunity, so please stay tuned. Also, we couldn’t help but point out that in the latest preseason college basketball poll, Kentucky and Louisville are both ranked in the Top 10… again… But hey, who’s counting 😉

As usual, it’s shaping up to be another big year in college basketball for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Louisville Kentucky Basketball Rivalry Movie Now On Sale

As of March 18th, DVDs and BluRays for the first Louisville Kentucky basketball rivalry movie “The Rivalry: Red V. Blue” are now at sale at retailers across Kentucky!

Stop in at any Walmart or Kroger in the Commonwealth and pick up your copy of The Rivlary: Red V. Blue, the first movie to document the Louisville-Kentucky college basketball rivalry!

While we did get a few concerned tweets about stores not having the film displayed on the 18th, the majority of our retail locations were on the ball. For those of you in Louisville who are looking for the DVD, folks were specifically recommending Alumni Hall and The Neutral Zone on twitter.

Below is a list of retailers who received the DVD and should be selling it. All Lids and Hibbett Sports locations in Kentucky should also be carrying the documentary. If you don’t see it, remember that some locations are slower to get new merchandise out of storage and into retail displays.

Owensboro Screening Announced

Catch The Rivalry: Red V. Blue in Owensboro, Kentucky as part of the 2014 River City Festival of Film!

The Owensboro screening is on March 1st, but the showtime still hasn’t been announced. Check back here for an update or head on over the River City Festival of Film website.

We are pumped about being a part of the film festival and are excited that we will be sharing The Rivalry: Red V. Blue with our friends in Western Kentucky! To date, we have screened in Lexington, Louisville, Paintsville, Elizabethtown, Inez, and Hazard, and soon Owensboro will be added to the list!

Louisville Dates Announced!

WE’RE BACK, LOUISVILLE!

THE RIVALRY: RED V. BLUE will be screening at 7 and 9 pm on January 24th and 31st, as well as on February 7th and 14th at Village 8 Cinemas on Bardstown Road! RED V. BLUE will also be playing in Elizabethtown, Georgetown and Ashland.
